I wish to go to China

I dream of visiting China, not on a short term but long term basis. Rounding the whole country and absorbing its culture and learning about its ancient history is what I wanted. Well to do that it definitely takes may be a year or 2.

The problem is by visiting China this way, money is an issue. Thus I planned to have a TESOL degree where I can earn money by teaching English part time. IF there is no teaching post I may have to do other work. Another option is to save enough for the whole trip.

I am also required to take or maybe quit my job and go for it. I planned to start from the south entering China through Hong Kong. Language is not a problem as I can speak mandarin and read too. From Hong Kong I will make it to Beijing to the north and then swing west to the other end of China where I hope to see the ancient city of Xian. Xian is along the ancient silk road trade route.

From here I will then go south towards the center to visit cities states in the center of China. There I will proceed south wards towards the southern part of China, Yunnan and from there I will move north again to shenzhen and back to Hong Kong.

Anyway that's my plan for the time being.

Places to See Before They Disappear

Today post is a little off-track but I like this article I found and it's speaks volume of what's happening to this great holiday destination places and our planet in general. The culprit is MAN. Anyway here is the article in full. Places to See Before They Disappear Consider visiting these rare cultural, historic, and natural sites before they are irrevocably altered or gone forever. Taj Mahal If the plan to close the Taj Mahal goes into effect, it would reduce this over-the-top mausoleum — built by Shah Jahan (fifth emperor of the Mughal dynasty) to mourn his favorite wife, Mumtaz Mahal — to a mere postcard silhouette instead of the spiritual experience it can be. More Places to See Before They Disappear Even a recent rise in admission prices doesn't deter floods of tourists from shuffling through the Taj Maha l — three to four million tourists every year. Between the crowds and the air pollution that's eating away its white stone facade, tourism officials are conside...

Hmm..What Other Holiday Destination?

Cracking my head and thinking about where to go. Again hitting the Internet I went online and look around. Well I came across an article about holiday destination in Muslim countries. Actually it is a blog and the interesting is it is listing the top muslim holiday destination. The post I am talking about is Muslim countries to visit for holiday . Well it's a good change of location wise from the usual. Anyway some of the location actually had me interested, like the Spain. An extract from the article post:- Granada, Spain Many other eminent Spanish cities exude class, but only Granada has so dramatic a mountain setting, topped by the magnificence of the Alhambra, Iberia’s greatest monument to Moorish creativity. The city was first settled by the north Africans in 711, and by the 14th century Granada was the magnificent final flourish of Islamic occupation. Just under three hours’ flying time from Stansted, this hilltop collection of palaces seems impossibly exotic. Admire it fro...
