Hmm..What Other Holiday Destination?

Cracking my head and thinking about where to go. Again hitting the Internet I went online and look around. Well I came across an article about holiday destination in Muslim countries. Actually it is a blog and the interesting is it is listing the top muslim holiday destination. The post I am talking about is Muslim countries to visit for holiday . Well it's a good change of location wise from the usual. Anyway some of the location actually had me interested, like the Spain. An extract from the article post:- Granada, Spain Many other eminent Spanish cities exude class, but only Granada has so dramatic a mountain setting, topped by the magnificence of the Alhambra, Iberia’s greatest monument to Moorish creativity. The city was first settled by the north Africans in 711, and by the 14th century Granada was the magnificent final flourish of Islamic occupation. My Dream Holiday Destination No2

Well continuing my post, my second dream holiday destination is another ancient wonder, this time it's the Great Wall of China. Well needless of me to jot down the details of this ancient wonders. Some pictures to go with this post. So I went online and did some search and I reproduced what I found here. With a history of more than 2000 years, some of the sections of the great wall are now in ruins or even entirely disappeared. However, it is still one of the most appealing attractions all around the world owing to its architectural g...

Green Traveling

Well this isn't a destination post but I came across this item in a forum. Great resources to keep for future reference. Instead of flying, why not consider traveling overland. There is a really good website with international train info including Asia and Africa. For instance, it's possible to travel from London to Tehran by train, travelling through Turkey, which would be a really interesting trip. Or travelling by train from London to Morocco via Spain. Trains take longer but you end up seeing alot more of the countries and you can stop off at places along the way: Global train travel: http://www.seat61.com/ For more info on green travel and holidays, and ecotourism, this is a good website: http://www.responsibletravel.com/
